Coal-fired boiler feeders control devices УУПК type

The devices are designed for the feeders speed variation, and thus variation of the fuel amount supplied to the Coal-fired boilers.
Variable-frequency drives of coal-fired boiler feeders are based on asynchronous motors with squirrelcage rotor.

The devices are manufactured for both the inner market and export.

The devices are designed as an enclosed cabinet which contains the following:

  • frequency converters;
  • switching equipment;
  • control and display elements (on the cabinet door).

Devices are designed for mounting on a vertical wall.

The control devices support the following:

  • soft start of coal-fired boiler feeder motors;
  • control of the drive motors speed in the process automated control system;
  • control of the drive motors speed according to a preset algorithm (on demand);
  • coal-fired boiler feeder drive motors and frequency converters overload and short circuit protection;
  • energy efficiency of the boiler technological process.

The device makes it possible to reduce the wear of electrical equipment, coal-fired boiler, increase productivity and efficiency of coal-fired boiler as well as its service life and equipment overhaul life.
The greatest efficiency of coal-fired boilers is achieved when coal-fired boiler feeder control devices work together with fire grate drive control devices.

Technological diagram of a coal-fired boiler feeder with fire grate drive is given in Figure 1.

  • ambient temperature from 0 °С to +40 °С;
  • relative humidity is up to 80% at the temperature of + 25 °C (without moisture condensation);
  • environment should not contain current-conducting dust or explosive mixtures and vapors of acids and alkalis;
  • altitude above sea level is to 1000 m;
  • rated values of the external ambient factors correspond to mechanical category M1 according to IEC 721-3-3-87.

Warranty operation life is 12 months from the date of commissioning.
Warranty operation life of the installations exported is not more than 18 months from the date of the state border crossing.
