All versions of devices have a unified design and are chosen depending on the rated current of the device, the number and type of contact clamps, the number and size of cable glands.
The device is performed as a metal enclosure with a cover, cable glands and a contact block. The device is protected from dust and moisture by a rubber seal on the cover that is made of oil and petrol resistant rubber with the appropriate operating temperature for which the device is designed. Cable glands are used for connecting flexible or armored cable and consists of a socket that is welded to the body, coupling, the sealing ring and the clamping bracket. The core and cable are protected from being pulled out by the cable gland via the design and the use of a bracket.
The cable is sealed in the cable gland by using a sealing ring in which diametrical cuts are cut. The diameter of the ring is set in accordance with the diameter of the cable gland by removing unnecessary layers of rubber. The characteristics of the installed cable glands are given in the table.
The PE cores of cables are connect to the PE terminal installed next to the cable glands.
Explosion-proof terminal connections with explosion protection marking Ex e II are used in devices for connecting cables.
In devices with voltage from 1140V to 6600V, JeanMuller contact clamps mounted on a copper bus are used to connect the cables. The busbar is mounted on insulators.
There are no sparking elements in the devices, all non-insulated current-carrying parts are placed in an enclosure that has a high degree of mechanical strength according to DSTU EN 60079-0: 2017, DSTU EN 60079-7: 2017 and degree of protection against external influences IP65.
